Frequently asked questions

Does Prescription Generator verify that I am the licensed prescriber?
No. Medroxa validates identifier format and checks NPI against the public NPPES registry. It does not perform EPCS-level identity proofing, state board license verification, or confirm that the logged-in user holds the credentials entered. You must attest that you are the licensed holder.
Is this legal electronic prescribing (EPCS)?
No. Outputs are draft clinical decision support for review. Medroxa does not route prescriptions to pharmacies, issue digital signatures under DEA EPCS rules, or replace your EHR e-prescribing system.
Can I generate prescriptions for controlled substances?
No. Prescription Generator supports non-controlled medications only. Controlled and scheduled substances are blocked in the UI and on the server.
What prescriber fields are required?
NPI, license state, state medical license number, and prescriber name are required. DEA is optional. All users must complete attestation checkboxes before validation.
